Fortune is a fairly large Sand/Night hybrid, who has tanned scales as golden as the desert sands at the peak hour of the sun.

Having been raised in a remote pit located on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Sand known as the 'Pit of Vipers,' Fortune's life mainly consisted of being around criminalistic low-lives and assassins. Shouting, rowdy laughter, the clink of glass, hollering chatter- all familiar sounds that she was surrounded by day after day. Surprisingly, Fortune wasn't one to join in with this, and would generally sit beside her father, Death, with her chin held defiantly whilst dragons bowed down to him.
Of course, Fortune's recognition in the pit mainly stemmed from her father's notorious title and background, having founded the Pit of Vipers several decades ago and starting it's criminalistic reputation. Fortune, naturally, has grown to be a high authority figure within the area, having almost as much power and significance as her father, being his deputy and lieutenant, but not quite.

Fortune was hatched without a tail barb, which, despite the logicality for her hybrid bloodline, was seen as a grave disadvantage in the Pit of Vipers. To 'fix' this issue, Fortune's father, Death, ordered a local goldsmith to create his daughter a prosthetic tail barb, which would be a crucial feature to maintain her authority within the pit. What Fortune was not told about until the barb had been granted to her: It contained a substantial amount of Taipan Venom, which was significantly stronger, and more fatal, than the venom of which SandWings possessed. This, of course, struck fear in the residents of the pit, allowing Fortune to be seen as one of the deadliest dragons residing in that area, if not the most deadly dragon living there.

Fortune is said to have a great beauty, potentially being the most stunning dragon in the Pit of Vipers, although Fortune has some doubts about that remark. Nonetheless, multiple residents of the pit have tried to take their chances up with the attractive young hybrid, despite several warnings from many not to. Although some of these attempts have worked in the past, none of the dragons have lived, or are within the proximity of Fortune to tell the tale, as her family is sure to 'take care' of any of Fortune's partners whom they deem to be 'unworthy,' 'untrusting' or overall 'pathetic disappointments.' Due to her family's lack of compassion for the dragons she loves, Fortune has restricted herself from loving others, even going as far as to disconnect herself from multiple social events to limit the possibility of meeting someone new. Of course, this worked for a few years, but those years certainly weren't happy. Rather, filled with miserable evenings and a heart heavy of sorrow. Until she met Glaucus, a dragon who she could finally trust herself to love.
