I was talking about how Luke Skywalker has a green lightsaber, not blue, and you said you've never seen Star Wars (btw, it's kind of a given that you have to watch the movie that a guest character cameos from, if for no other reason than to better represent the character).
at the end of Episode V, Luke got his hand chopped off and his blue lightsaber fell into the depths with it, right before Darth Vader revealed what REALLY happened to Luke's father. Sometime between the events of Episodes V and VI, Luke constructed a lightsaber of his own, this one green.

Not necessarily. Anakin lost his hand too, and always had a blue lightsaber. The idea of Ace was not to base him off a specific Jedi, but to make him an OC Jedi.
