BT walks over to where LK is hammering like a fiend on the keyboard.
BT : How is the book coming along sweetie?
LK ( hesitantly) : Well…
BT (patronizing) : Never you mind little one if this new project of yours did not pan out either
LK (still not looking up) : Well, actually…
BT (even more patronizing) : Oh, well my little one, we won’t bring it up again
LK (looks up from his mac book, frowning) : BT shut up!
BT (shocked) : What????
LK : Actually, this time my scheme really paid off, my story has been bought by Spielberg.
BT (choking) : Spielberg??? As in Steven Spielberg???
LK (smug and gloating) : Yep!
BT (rightfully cowed and taken aback) : Waw! How do you even know Steven Spielberg?
LK : Well I didn’t obviously but your mum did
BT (aghast) : Mum knows Steven Spielberg????
LK : Yep! Don’t let this be known by the tabloids, this is confidential but Steven was quite an addict of “Hunks and Hotties galore” and as the Indiana Jones series is your mother’s favorite series of movies they became very good chums indeed. The colonel who is more a Chindler’s List kind of guy did not mind your mum’s new friend at all this time.
BT (vexed) : but nobody thought of telling me of course, how long has this been going on by the way???
LK (counting) : Let me see, three months or so I think…
BT (yelling) : Three months??? Now I am hurt, you all know Jurassic Park is my favorite movie and all of you have been rubbing shoulders with my hero Steven Spielberg for three months and nobody even thought of telling me! Traitors, traitors all of you, my own family!
LK : Well… Steven is a bit afraid of tigers…
BT (angry) : Utter nonsense LK! Mum and dad are tigers too, so spare me the lame excuse!
LK (softly) : well let’s say, big tigers, really really big tigers like you BT. The snoring morose kind of tigers, not the civilized “High Tea and golf” kind of tigers like your mum and dad.
BT : Pfff, how would the guy know that if he never met me. I can be civilized, I can do chitchat like the next guy and I do not often break mum’s bone china when I come for tea.
I am seething LK and it will take a long time before I am going to forgive you guys.
LK : you DO break the china big boy! Your mum is such a lady for not telling you and buying new cups all the time. But that is neither here nor there now i think. Wouldn't you rather like to know what the movie is going to be all about instead of raving like this?
BT (reluctantly) : I guess I do...
