this is personally my favorite piece i've created in a long time... i'm really proud of this. mostly because the pose was right out of my head and i got it right the first time XD;;
i think using a desk has... changed my style??? lollll!!

I absolutely love this! The pose is exciting and I love the ripped look his jacket has (reminds me of that part in MGS3 where that chick gets electrocuted to the point that her pantyhose singes and rips).
And yeah, I do agree with the cyborg Raiden thing that you mentioned...I mean it was cool and all but I really think that they did it to appease the little American macho-sensitive boys that weren't happy with him in 2 and whined. And even when he gets a "new body" or something in the end, he looks unnatural and bizarre. And I liked the slim, yet strong look his character had in 2. You can't do handless cartwheels when you're a beast, you know. XD
But once again, stunning work <3.

Yeah. The sword does look a lil funny. At the angle at which he is holding the blade the end should be thinner making it look twisted. Instead, it is about as wide as it started making the blade look like it's twisting about 90 degrees between the beginning and end of the blade, but the lightning kinda hides it. Good job over all though.

The lineart is fantastic, and I love how it's almost subtly sepia colored [or I could just be crazy].
