My take on what Gambit's uniform should look like in the next X-Men movie...The look I think should be going with Gambit is this. He's a thief, so if he does end up getting a team uniform in the movie (depending on how they introduce him), it would be dark. Nothing against his comics costume, but magenta body armor just wouldn't look right. That said, a little bit of magenta never hurt anyone (unless we're talking about the Rocky Horror Picture Show, in which case, a little bit of Magenta might kill you). Basically, the pants and top would be dark blue. The X's on the uniform would be a dull magenta, as would the piping on the pants. Notice how the sides of the legs have the padding, but not so much on the inside? That would mimic the stripes on the side of his pants from the comics. The piping there would be magenta. His gloves would also have a similar piping thing going on, running up his forearm. They would also be his trademark 2-finger gloves. On the bottom of the jacket of the unform there, there are a couple of pouches. Those would be used to hold his playing cards, and there would probably be a clip attached for his bo staff.
The costume would also have a trench coat that goes over it, but I drew it without so that the gloves and details could be seen better. Also, the lack of large X's on his outfit (sewn in, I mean. You can always just replace a belt buckle) is on purpose. Remy strikes me as the kind of guy who, if he left the team, would take his uniform with him and use it for other things. So it made sense to have it be relatively plain.
