When the construction of the original Mechagodzilla had fallen under due to budget constraints, the BlackHole corporation took over the remains of the project. Using vast resources gained from other anti-kaiju projects, they redesigned and improved upon the ranged combat qualities of the robot. Missiles, a variety of slugger rounds, laser eyes, stunners, drill missiles, proboscis canon, the machine was a thanksgiving turkey of ballistics. "Space Titanium" (basically titanium with a reflective thermal coating, the name helped to sell it) armor allowed the energy attacks of many kaiju to reflect right off. Some of the most powerful rockets ever designed were built into the feet so the machine could travel a decent distance in a short amount of time.
The robot would be called "Mecha-Kiramashin" (Mecha KillingMachine...investors liked it) and would only see deployment in private sectors rich enough for anti-kaiju services.
Much of the staff involved would move on to use their skills gained from this project to develop Moguera for G-Force, which is far more efficient ....but BlackHole Corp. wouldnt tell you that.
