If you're going to directly trace images that aren't yours and insist on taking all the credit for it, it's quite disrespectful to the original artists.
The irony here is that you'd get pretty pissed off and call 'art theft' if someone took these images without giving YOU credit for them. Which is beyond hypocritical.
The solution here is very simple, credit Disney for the imagery.

Whit this I mean that people do not have the need to take the work already completed from others, and they can find the base in white and clean and to make them their own modifications and colors. ¿Do you follow me to now? In no time I'm asking you to give me credit for the base. It is pretty obvious that the original design belongs to Disney.
Only an idiot would think otherwise or would ask to see the credit somewhere when everyone knows that it is from Disney.

But anyway, without me, nobody would have these bases to represent their designs. Some have taken the bases and claimed points to use,
and that if I think an injustice when the'm offering for free, or even asking for credit when they did absolutely nothing but take. So I ask to send link back so people do not fall into tricks

You traced the images and made the base obviously, but who copyright owns the original images? Disney does. Whether it's too obvious or not, crediting the original source is the respectful thing to do.
You can ask for credit for the base AND credit Disney for the original image out of respect. Most honest fan artists still credit Disney regardless of what the image is.
It's not hard. And it's generally the right thing to do. If you trace an existing image, proper credit is due.

If she knows to credit them, why doesn't she then? Disney are the ones who objectively own the character and design. Yet, I still see no credit to Disney at all, she just wants people to credit her for tracing an image. I told her solid reasons why she should give credit, but she won't even take a few seconds to edit the description to credit them. Which is stubborn and rude.
And I'm sorry, but I personally find tracing copyrighted images and giving them away like free samples; kind of stupid and disrespectful towards the artists behind the characters. But at the very least if credit to Disney is given, I can forgive it. But she just doesn't give a shit.

Free 'ass pats' and traffic, that's why she does them. Bases get a lot of traffic from people who don't want to draw on their own, and people like taking shortcuts and so praise the people who make bases. But drawing your own base requires a lot of effort and skill, and doesn't guarantee traffic. But tracing images is a lot easier, and more often than not; gets more attention. This is why she does them, and why traced bases are so common. Especially in the TLK fandom.
Lack of consequence of take downs shouldn't be a reason to trace the hard work of a Disney artist in my opinion, it's disrespectful to them; plain and simple.
Well, I'm sorry but seeing traced TLK bases EVERYWHERE on dA; really angers and annoys me more than sometimes. Especially when credit isn't given where it's due.

This old conversation wasn't originally aimed at you. You didn't really add anything to the original conversation, I was just trying to get QuinnBases to credit Disney like she should, and then for whatever reason; you felt you had to justify using bases to me? Makes no sense.
I'm honestly quite sick of the 'I don't know how to draw' excuse that a lot of people use to justify bases. I hear it a lot. Art is a medium that requires practice and work, using a base won't help one improve...ever. There's no real point to them, one might as well stick to coloring books. Using traced bases privately is fine, it's just when people post them online and then try and take credit for someone else's drawing that they traced over. Keep in mind, I'm just talking about TRACED bases here. Ones that are crudely traced from an existing source, hand drawn bases don't bother me, but unfortunately they're not as common.
If my comments on traced linearts/bases annoy you, I'll offer the advice you just gave me...please just ignore them. Goodbye Sir/Ma'am.
