Description
During the production of this piece I came up with a story about this secret organization, where scientists would experiment with AI - robots and their ability to feel feelings. This is the one subject that actually succeeded to feel love - for a brief moment, before her systems broke down for good. The experience of creating a bond with something, be it a rabbit-sculpture, was too powerful for the machine - but she would have protected it with her life, if she had "lived on".

Rejected. Tossed aside like an old shoe. Once she was the darling of the company. The toast of the scientific community...
Now she was no better than the shattered vacuum tubed television that lay in the alleyway beside her. Unblinkingly she stared up at the starless sky as the howl of a siren echoed in the distance.
While she had been the first android, not by a longshot, A-113 had been the first, the very first to experience love.
Genuinely truly, deep heart felt love. Admittedly it was for a simple rabbit, and only a statue at that, but the emotion was no so less real...until the power of that singular feeling, the intensity of that one emotion damaged her neural network.
So there she lay, another forgot dream awaiting compactor, another scrap of useless electronics just awaiting the crusher.
However fate, that unseen and ever present force had plans for A-113. Plans that would reawaken the "Broken" piece of hardware and place in her care the life of something far more precious than the statue of a rabbit...
