Wow! I was looking at what people had put in the same art categories as my own pieces, and this one just immediately drew my attention!
It's very catchy because it has a lot of impact, due to how stark the contrast is between your background and your foreground. I really love the way your background is neither truly black nor truly grey, it gives the piece a really intense atmosphere. Speaking about grey and black, I also really love the way you dealt with your colour choice, because you managed to play very well with the shades of grey, with each shade reflecting a texture. That's awesome.
Your anatomy and textures are just flawless. Nothing more to say; and about textures, I love the way the surroundings of the centre are blurred, it gives a 'real eye vision' effect and makes the eye focus on the centre, which leads me to my last point: the perfect, ultimate deatil would have been for the eye to be coloured, in my opinion. Given how intensely the spectator's attention is drawn towards it, I think it would have made the piece even more intense and lively, whereas now it's ONLY perfect, and it just the way I want to manage to draw one day e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Amazing!! My only critique is that I think his nose is a tad too small Β and smooth for Hugh Jackman. But it still looks great!

Had you a basis? Something like a photo that served as blueprint?

This is absolutely gorgeous in it's portrayal. I love the detail you've included, including the scarring. My boyfriend and I just watched this movie recently too, and it was amazing. Your digital art is just getting better and better. Plus the lighting is wonderful, especially on the hair.

Ugh. Staring at your work is both motivating and dream-crushing. I can't think of a word that combines the two.
It demotivates me because it would take ages to get to your skill level (assuming I could ever reach it), however it's motivating because it sets a standard and goal for me to aspire to.
You have some serious skill. It's humbling to see your artwork sometimes

Woooooooow...
This just looks so amazing! Just technically perfect (I refuse to go and zoom until I notice something wrong because I do not want to ruin my state of utter awe), and so... powerful? I don't know, it's like all filled with soul and fierce strength yet calm control yet watchful caution... It's so diverse and yet so homogenous and one, single, same, harmonious piece...
This is how I want to be able ti draw with pencils when I'll have eventually reached ultimateness.
Just congrats

That is so amazing! Hugh Jackman is the personification of the comic-book Logan (apart from his height <.<) and you've captured both Hugh Jackman and Logan so mind-blowingly well!
The blur effect brings a very nice focus to the whole picture, but at the same time, it seems to make his head look a little too... and I lost the antonym of wide. Bleh. But yeah, the head seems to be not quite wide enough because of the blur effect. (Not that Hugh Jackman has a terribly wide head - maybe that's why the blur has that effect. Not a lot to take from in the first place ).
Beautiful, beautiful facial expression, and the light hitting his eye is done just perfectly. Makes him look so alive.
Humm... I suppose I shoulda written this in a Critique, but I'm really not that great with those... Always makes me feel officially judgemental when I try to do them, so... I hope this will do - The thing with the Critique tool, though, is that you can choose not to show them, so if I said anything you find unfair or uncalled for, do please let me know, and I'll get rid of the comment ^^
