Description
Within any system exists a cyclical nature. A repetition of shape and pattern, an elegant predictability ensnares the very essence of matter. As a society we are inherently doomed to this perpetual oscillation of inevitability and the consequences of failure that accompany them. The main character in my piece represents the workaday zealot who masks his clandestine intentions with a falsehood of love and pious propaganda. This “everyman” in America stands for the Christian majority, the political figure heads pictured at the top have used God and or religion to ignite wars, justify their heinous actions or vindicate their political machinations. The piece is done in a stark black and white aesthetic personifying man’s predilections of separating everything into two categories all the while desperately attempting to disregard the moral gray area.
