With the release of the utterly disappointing "The Guardian Code" I think it's important to remember what made Reboot such a great franchise. I really loved the part where Matrix finally brings Bob back to Mainframe and you find out Dot's been holding out with her guerrilla forces the entire time. Made me wonder about the stories she must've had during those days!As for the new series... a lot of people chalk it up to a demographic problem where the show's targeted at a new, younger audience and not meant to be for older fans and honestly the issue is far beyond that. After skimming through the 10 episodes available I'm confident in saying that it's just terribly uninspired and so creatively dry that it'll be void of any semblance of the original's iconic run. Maybe they'll turn it around but I'm not optimistic.

guardian code hasn't been released in my region yet, and if half of the things I've heard are true, I am dreading the day it is. Its good to see something related to reboot with some actual effort involved Thanks!

Grew up watching this on YTV, seeing the show go from it's campy first 2 seasons to a more mature story line was really cool. Shame after so long 'The Guardian Code' is what we get.

My biggest beef with the new series is that they practically retconned most of the good stuff and brought the what little is left of the original crew as mere cameo shells of their glorious old selves.
You probably have a better tribute to what ReBoot once was in one picture than they did in 10 episodes.
Like you, I’m not too optimistic... but really hoping they at least use some of the feedback they’re currently getting and somehow (I don’t know how at this point, but I’m hoping there’s a way) find a way to salvage the damage they have done.

I agree. I can see this kind of thing could work but if it wasn't a code lyoko clone. What I would do if to have the original use keep Mainframe's computer out of pure childhood nostalgia then A meeting between worlds ensue and ramifications get explored. I would have Megabyte try and take over the real world through the internet. So it becomes a fight on two sides.

The new series is a complete insult to the original series, and it goes AGAINST what the original creators wanted, as much as you might hate that cliffhanger moment that continues in the comics.

I agree with you, I haven't watched the new series. But I have watch the trailer. It was a joke for lack of nicer words.
I saw the trailer and all I could think is "This has to be a f*cking joke" but when I found out they were serious I lost faith in humanity.

What gets me is they didn't even attempt it.
They couldn't find someone with even a hint of a barotone to do the voice. He sounds *awful* in the new show.
