Its unfortunate that I couldn't jam all the characters into one illustration (for technical and time-saving reasons xP) but when narrowing it down to four I like to think Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link are the Nintendo staple boys.You've got the original plumber mascot, the pink side-scroller alternative, the giant Japanese parent-money-eating franchise, and the only pretty-boy-RPG that Nintendo has ever done right.
Anywho, SSB games are probably the best fighters ever concieved. There are "classics" like Street Fighter, KOF, Tekken etc. But in my opinion, nothing is quite as innovative and fun as the SSB franchise in the genre.

Mario is a pised off man who lost his job and doesn't have enough money to buy a razor, Link is a young guy with muscle spasms that get in the way of his fighting, pickachu is a soulless rodent that somehow controls electricity, and kirby is a joyful and insane serial killing blob. And somehow they're all on this weird plateform hundreds or maybe a thousand feet off the ground. Sorry, but thats what I got from this pic. Nic job tho ^.^

Ah, Mario. Kind of reminds me of Hulk Hogan: overhyped, given way more screentime than the rest, his classic attacks feeling so uninspired..yet somehow it all comes together, making him a damn popular guy.
