Marvel's Ultimate Universe is one of my guilty pleasures when it comes to comics. For the most part I find the re-imaginings of classic characters refreshing if not an interesting read.It'd be an understatement if I said not all of the titles from the UU were "winners" but if you're looking forward to the Avengers movie I HIGHLY recommend reading Ultimates 1 & 2
Anyway, here's some of the big-names in my favorite outfits:

Awesome work. Only thing, would Miles have boots on? Normally the spider folk footies to wall crawl. Just a minor thing that caught my eye. Again, awesome work.

Hmm, depends on the artist or the interpreter? I mean, how would their powers work through fabric? And if it does, are we to assume they all don't have soles on their feet when they're fighting crime? Ow.
Also, I think Miles does fine... what with his camouflage ability MAGICALLY working with his clothes too.
Have you seen the new Amazing Spider-man movie costume? It has pretty thick soles too!

I'm not gonna touch what the Amazing Spider-man movie is doing, lol. And again, I'm not trying to attack you or criticize your work (which is admittedly awesome), it was just something that jumped out at me. When Miles first uses his powers to save the kid from the burning building, he took his shoes off. When Ezekiel used his wall crawling powers, he took off his shoes ([link] ). From what I've seen, thick soled shoes/boots aren't conducive to wall crawling. Would that mean lots of achy feet and fallen arches? Yes. Maybe the soles are made out of the same material as comfortable insoles. But from what I've seen drawn, the bottoms of their feet are smooth and curve to their feet.

But... that still doesn't make sense. Why would their powers work through fabric/insoles in the first place if not thick shoe-soles?
Also, the point is mute since it's also bizarre that Mile's bio-camouflage abilities work with his clothing.
Basically nothing makes sense! There's no logical canon, so it's up to the artist/interpreter on what they want to do.

Mike Morales as Spider-Man is one of the best comic out there. It's been a long time since I felt like a kid enjoying a comic book. It's an unpretentious comic, with amazing art and a fun storyline.

i like your captain america the most. looks sweet. i think iron man would have looked better if his circle chest piece on his chest was smaller and his color scheme was more like its usually red and yellow. the suit is awesome but leaving it grey was off putting i felt...
and i think by far the most embarrasing thing about this piece is the hulk. his body is big and his head is small. what happened did it get hit by a shrink ray or something?

Ach! I have so many compliments for this picture, I can't sum it all up!
Every super-hero is just so well portrayed. They don't look like 'Handsome Buff-Dudes With A Tragic Past', like they are portrayed often. The action poses, the weapons, and even the lighting just screams 'Super-Heros Prepared to Save the World'!
The outfits are amazing, the shading meshed in the lighting is splended, it's just all so appealing!

Looking forward to the Avengers movie as well! I really enjoyed the reimaginations of the Marvel characters as well and I think they really, really screwed up with killing off so many of the Ultimate characters. Sure, I suppose it was shocking and surprising, but I don't really think they had any real storyline when doing it.
The recent death of the Ultimate Spider-Man was however one of those bits that was carried out with some forethought and dignity to the character; something that I think was noticeably lacking when they got killed off the others. I also think that the new Spidey and his new suit is definitely a cool design.

Yea, Ultimatum was a lazy reboot. No one liked it from what I understand ;[
I liked the idea of replacing Peter but I didn't think his death was handled very well. The whole ordeal felt like just another fight with the Sinister Six that Spidey always gets out of without a scratch; all they added was that cameo he made in Ultimates vs Avengers, taking a bullet for Cap that was grossly under-played.
It also felt untimely, since Peter was JUST contacted by Nick Fury and was taking lessons from members of The Ultimates to become more professional. They were setting up his character for this whole new future and then BAM! Kill him off.

All too true. I didn't say that Peter's death in the Ultimates was great, but I thought it was vastly better than the Ultimatum fiasco! Bah!
I admit that the it might have been a bit untimely, but it sort of added to the emotional pathos. That the Ultimates thought he had a real future; that he was going to be one of them soon; that he was going to one of the real pillars of the superhero community ... and suddenly he was gone.
