Description
Rhea, Dom's mother, is a White-bellied eagle/Canadian lynx mix and his father Faust is Steller's sea eagle/white Bengal. Dom inherited his father's shoulder height and his mother's hindleg height which makes him look like a gorilla gives him a sloped back. Because of this, Dom walks around more comfortably with his head and neck lifted up rather than downwards like Faust.

Rhea originally hails from Twistoult and moved to Skrekrill to be with Faust. She is softspoken and has a passion for growing things. To more easily garden, she chose a human form for the manual dexterity. In this form, her hair grows thick, fine and short, much like her lynx fur. She worries constantly about her two boys with the onset of war. The bloodshed makes her sick.

Faust is a crotchety retired fighter and is a very politically involved Skrekrill. He was decently happy with his life until a group of Grandesque scouts caught him and clipped the shoulder muscles of his wings, rendering them useless for flight. For this, he developed a hatred for all Grandesques and rigorously advocates for war.
Disgusted with his crippled gryphon form, he chose a human form, which ended up with wings! Initial delight turned to digust once again when Faust discovered that he could not use his wings in his human form either.
Faust then shamefully retired from the fighting force and let Rhea coax him into raising their young son, Dom. He taught Dom what he knew best: how to fight.

Dom eagerly took to the fighting lessons, but Faust saw with some frustration that his son lacked bloodlust. Dom had inherited Rhea's dislike of unnecessary bloodshed, preferring to wrestle instead of ripping and tearing.
Once Dom was an adult, Faust started teaching other young gryphons his Skrekrill ideals and fighting techniques. Rhea now uses her limited knowledge of herbs to heal the injured.
