Now that you say it, I see it too. I wonder, is there sometimes fog in Kenroku-en? I think there should be and to take a pic then would be quite worthwile, but I don't think I will get such a chance...

Well, truly, if you were so lucky to capture such an amazing picture... I am sure you'll get the chance to take some photos in fog as well.
I think late October or November would be the best times to visit that place, because that is the time of daily fogs at early mornings...

Well, the thing is even as dedicated hobbyist I won't be able to take the time necessary to be at the right time at the right place, especially if the place is some 10.000 km away from where I live

Oh I understand...
Still, I can just say: "Never say never..." Who knows, maybe once you'll be there at a lucky time. Or if you have to see something, it will come in front of you, if you can not get there to see it.
