I think it's fine as a Morel, but I also love him as a mysterious guy. He seems to have a lot of stories...

...Morel, coming back home from a very wild party XD
but he doesn't look like him really, so I prefer him as the mysterious guy

Whoever this guy is and for whatever reason he's wearing his grandma's coat (and possibly smoking grandma's cigarettes too), I him.

lol, yes I guess he was on his granny's attic and found lots of cool moth-eaten fur coats, and cigar holders...(?)
I kinda like him too, now that I recovered from having drawn something completely different from what I wanted on the first place O_o

Well, no matter the reason why he might have gone scavenging in granny's stuff, it looks like it was quite fun.
If it can be of any consolation, that happens to me a lot when I write. Sometimes stuff turns out better than I had planned, some other times I can just drop everything and curse my inability to stick to the plan

indeed!
what kind of things do you write?
also, you're Italian aren't you? does the word 'gaba' means something in Italian (or the verb gabbare -I don't know if it exists or if it's spelled that way-) because in a Balzac novel some guy starts talking in Italian and he uses that word to translate tromp-la-mort (translated in english as death dodger) as gaba-morto(I looked it up, but never found a definition. Is it that Balzac was too lazy to look up a propper translation or does the word actually exists? )

At the moment the genre I've had more experience with is historical. Even the pulp/sci-fi novel I hope to get geared up for this year's Nanowrimo has a strong historical flavour
Yep, the verb "gabbare" does exist, though it's kinda old-fashioned and rarely used and I'm pretty sure most average people would need to check it out on a dictionary. "Gabba" alone wouldn't even be a noun, just a conjugated form of the verb at the very least; "gabba-morto" instead does make sense (I'd spell it with two b's and maybe say "morte" instead of "morto", which is the adjective meaning "dead"), but I really don't know if such a word has ever been used in 19th century Italian, aside from that Balzac novel

Aaah! thanks for the interesting explanation! -morte does make more sense than morto

historical novels are cool-if you're interesed in battles or military life, I think you'll like colonel Chabert-
