Yeah, I've got on the bandwagon here.This is Derpy (also known as Ditzy Doo) from Hasbro's My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. She was made from a McDonald's Rainbow Dash I found at a thrift store one day.
She sports and complete body re-paint, new tail, and is sealed with matte varnish. She also has her googly eyes, but since she's sideways in the pic, you can't see them.
I'm thinking about selling her. I wonder what someone would be willing to pay?
She's my first custom pony, so she's not perfect (the white paint on her cutie mark is raised, and if you touch the base of the tail, it's kind of hard because of the glue), but the flaws aren't really noticeable. Not bad for a first try.
Note: This one has already been spoken for, but I have another that's for sale. And, if anyone wants one, I'll be happy to make another.

I'm bidding on some cheap McDonald's RD toys on Ebay, so here's hoping I'll have another pony to alter, soon. This next one should be a little better, because the last one was a learning experience, and I know what to do now.

Well, the hair is hard near the base of her tail, because I used too much glue to get the hair in there. There's also some very small hairs that got caught in the paint job in her hair. I only noticed them after I'd added the varnish, and to remove them meant damaging the texture, so I had to let them be. The flank and cutie make is also a little raised and lumpy, because I had a heck of a time painting them to my satisfaction, and I kept having to start over. All in all, she was the pony I learned a lot of stuff on. Does that sound okay?

Kinda. Found out that my dad used up my food stamp card when he stated the rest of it was for me to use and me alone.

I know and that's not all. I found on here (this was just put up today) a very nice Luna plush that was being put up for 17 bucks on eBay. Well I sent my bf the link and he was going to bid on it for me but before he could the person ups the price to 170. It's like wtf. When you do this kind of thing you up the price slowly (like go from 17 to 25 or 30) and it's only day one. People don't normally get bids on day one. It takes time and doing this kind of thing turns potential customers off (my bf may not bid on it at all even if it remains at 170 on the last day of the bid) cause it makes it appear that the person selling the plush just cares about money for whatever reason instead of making an MLP fan happy.

I get what you mean. I see a lot of customs out there that are too high for the average person to buy. I do wonder, though, if the seller had it priced to 17, and then changed it to 170, if perhaps he or she had originally intended it to be that high in the first place, and just made a mistake when posting the auction. That happens.
I do understand why an artist would ask quite a bit for their work--they might have had a hard time making it, or it took quite awhile, plus the cost of supplies. But, I also don't like it when the finished item is too much for most people out there. My Derpy's are $15, and I think that's fair, considering the cost of supplies and the work I put into changing the toy and making it as perfect as possible. That doesn't mean I may charge more for other customs down the line (I have a feeling my young Granny Smith is gonna be about $30-$40, considering all the supplies, stripping, cutting, molding, and sculpting I've done on it, but that's a lot cheaper than most of the customs out there.)
