Description

For the most part, Ishino’s TMM style did not changed much when it comes to Ichigo, her hair stays beyond the Chin level, the lower lip maintains a small shading as well as the nose, but as a highlight, and not in the line work of the douga, the chin is slightly curved rather than pointy and to identify Ishino, pay attention to his human ears.

The biggest difference between Satoshi Ishino’s old and new style is the eyes, in TMMN he no longer uses the C shape pupils he was very known for back in the 2002 anime, the pupils have a regular vertical oval shape, there’s however still a c shape at the bottom of the iris, a crescent shape highlight is also at the bottom of the eye with few lines giving an extra bit of texture to the iris, the borders of the eyes are thinner, unlike the older approach with heavy lines. (PS: in Ishino’s Twitter account he shares his drawings of the characters with eyes changing from drawing to drawing)

The faces of the female characters are no longer angular and have slightly chubbier cheeks giving them a rounder look, Ishino’s human ears are very distinctive, emphasizing the helix, the triangular fossa, the lobule, the tragus, and the antihelix of the ears, sadly the chin is pointy in front, but curved from the sides and the ¾ view, the noses are even thinner and not triangular, from other point views the nose is just hinted with a small curved line at the bottom, and the back of the hair is flowy like the original designs of Kitayama.

PS: i should work on Ichigo's tendrils on movement.
