Description
Let's face it, many of the best Kids Shows were in the 80's. And over time many of them have been so underrated and sadly cast aside for the crummy US imports we Brits have to put up with. No "home made" show deserves more credit given than TUGS.I'm pretty sure many of you might know what the show was about, according to so many fan arts and fantasy stories posted here and beyond. And it was that same feel of wanting to bring something back, without letting PC leering its ugly head, that inspired a bold and talented group. My good friend ~rh281285 really wanted to do something to make David Mitton proud and give something many nostalgic fans have dreamed for - a second series.
By the magic of Audio Editing, original music composing and a well-rounded cast, me and Ryan penned together the start of what could have been Series 2, as told in audio format. It's recieved a brilliant reception and I feel it's time to give it some more publicity.
Go listen for yourselves and revive those old memories of a brilliant show - or aquanting yourself to a new one!

As an American, I still HATE the U.S. dub of TUGS, or should I say "Salty's Lighthouse". Who even IS salty? TtTE reference? Anywho, the show as seen on YT, is absolutely AMAZING!

Yeah, they did my boys Sunshine and Captain Star dirty. I like the idea of Ten Cents acting as an older brother to Sunshine But not Sunshine as a younger sisterΒ

The heart swells with pride being such a TUGS fan (fanatic? You be the judge...), and I *loved* the audio production. Some of the lines were sheer brilliance (Izzy, Top Hat and Warrior, Big Mac and Billy, to name but two) and still leave me smiling.
You and Ryan did an utterly fan-smeggin-tastic job of starting off the 2nd series. Truly inspiring, and you both have definitely inspired me further with the rewrite of TBP. Keep it up guys, ya hear?

That, Vee-Jay, coming from yourself, who I've known for years as a self-confessed TUGS fanatic with a higher appreciation of the series than anyone else, is touching.
So long as the material remains good and true to the original product, the drive to do more will always remain! Cheers for the kind and flattering feedback, it's made my week!

Cool, saw this at SiF. I love the shadowy effects. And also heard the audio adaption too. Well, here's to the past, and my regrets to the society I live in... from what many say...

Yep, reeeeal old! About 20 years.
Funny that it reminds you of Thomas. TUGS was actually made by the same people who worked on the same series - David Mitton and Robert Cardona. Mitton having written and directed a fair number of the 13 episodes they made. You can tell they're his by his love for explosions!
Try and watch the original episodes if you can - it's the kind of show you'll probably never see again in this day and age.
