I've had this on my list of things to draw since October/November. I didn't (specifically) make a New Year's resolution to finish it, but I still vowed for Derpy and Spike to be done by the end of the month. Now that's 1/2 done for this month!

Like the last weapon pony (Vaspyre), I went with an anthro style that lies more on the human side. I'm starting to prefer it, as pony anatomy (particularly around the legs) is limiting in upright poses. Not to mention it's also definitively less familiar than this type of anthro.

The weapon sort of happened. I remember making a poll on what kind of weapon she should have: something explosive was at the top. So I think I ended up combining a gun with a cannon with a dual blade. The Samus-type armor and cape also happened without planning, so consider it a product of mindlessness.

Between this and Maud's weapon design, I'm not sure why I have a fascination with halos. I've recently picked up Bayonetta 2, so maybe that has something to do with it, but I'm not completely sure.
