If you're gonna play it, wait for Persona 5: The Royal to come out next year!
It'll be the definitive version of Persona 5 (The best installment in the series in my opinion) And since Persona 5 is separate from the other 4, you won't need to have played them to understand Persona 5.
So, yeah! I highly recommend it!
