i always thought she was beautiful and that her music was alright, but then i heard the song "Love Story" by Taylor Swift and i couldn't resist drawing her.EDIT:

haha, oh my goodness, i'm so glad i did because all those little curls would have driven me nuts!
i would say that as long as you get her eyes and her hair pretty good then you're set, that's mainly what she's known for and this picture was a super rushed job and doesn't look exactly like the reference, but since she's got curly hair and those eyes it turned out looking like her after all.

Well say what you will I think it is awesome. What seems to baffle me is how soft and clean your shading is. As someone who is basically starteing out I try and try to achieve that look but just can't seem to get it like this. You are an amazing artist and I admire your work. Thank you for the reply. this took me about 6 hours, i knew if i took more time then i would have become fed up with her hair, haha.
i use Canson paper in either white or dessin, white is preferred but i can't find it anywhere in my city anymore...
anyway, it's the finetoothed stuff and it's not light but not super heavy either which is nice.

if you can find some i'd say to try Canson. its what i use and it's not expensive, plus lots of it is finetoothed so it makes drawings look smooth. if the paper at your Walmart is anything like mine it's that Strathmore (spelling?) crap, and that stuff was horrible because it was so grainy.

tell me about it. well my aunt bought a drawing book for me and i didn't want it to go to waste so i decided to just use it. but thanks for the advice i'm definitely gonna look for that brand!
