Description
I did manage to get two images with each other using Photoshop CS2, but it feels like I went through a lot of steps to get to them. I would greatly appreciate anyone's guidance for how to do this the easy way.As for these photos, I took these in the summer when I was walking home from work. I had the concept for these two photos in my head for quite some time before I printed them and put them in a frame at home. Now here they are, and I just love the colour contrast with the black and white.
Any comments or advice greatly appreciated! :hugs:

Thank you Lately I've started wondering what this set would look like if the bright green grass was showing...?

Great shots they go really well together. It reminds me of the photographer Sam Haskins who was one of the first photographers to put two images together so you had to think about the reasons he put those particular shots together.

It conveys a sort of innocence, like a person walking home from school with friends. They're all laughing and having a good time.

Nice work. I usually use a little math and the canvas size function. Lets you make the workspace any size you want. Hope that helps.

i really like this! when i do borders and group more than 1 photo, i make a big new document (make sure you KNOW what size you want it or it takes forever -- generally I add the sides of them all together and add how many pixel i want for borders) then i copy and paste the photos on the new doc (ps 7 automatically creates new layers) and move them around untill i like it

thanks!
I did make a big new document, and it was the sizes that held me up! I had to try so many different times to get all the sizes worked out. I thought maybe there was another, form fitting way of it? I played with the sizes and borders, and copied and pasted, over and over till it looked okay. Probably took me an hour!

usually the photos i use are the same size (such as in "I'll Tell You A Story", "Mother Nature's Gold" etc) so i just check the size of one orginal photo (eg 2243 px. wide and 1897px long) and i times the sides increasing by how many photos there are (eg: 3) if i was doing a group going down, i'd times the vertical sides, not the horizontal. lastly you add to that size how big and many borders/dividers you want (eg: 200px border and 2 50px dividers) for my example you should make a new document that is: 6191 px long and 2643px wide.
to subitt on dA just change the final image's size to meet the restrictions
...hope this didn't confuse you!

No, that totally makes sense! Its just a lot of math So any individual borders going right around a certain photo have to be done before its copied to the new document right? But the borders/gaps between photos can be done in the new size of the document?
I think I am getting it, lol.

you just add the borders, dividers and sides of the photos, to get the right size for the new document and thype that in the size choosing box thingy (by the way its easier to work in pixels)

Wow, that's pretty creative!
I'm completely in love with the contrast between the two pictures. I think the way you've displayed them really brings everything together.
Bravo girlfriend, bravo!
As for tips with Photoshop, hmmm... did you use Layers the first time around? Layers make life easy.

ahhh, I am so glad you like it!!
As for layers, I don't really pay attention to them while I work. I guess I should freshen up on layers??

Layers save time and energy. Try putting each picture on a different layer, and then working from there.
