Not trying to tell you what to do or anything but I don't think you should diss your own work before people get a chance to form their own opinion. I like it. Only thing that doesn't seem to work is the color of that background. Is she in a sandstorm? Seems unlikely. The color doesn't flatter her main green color. I don't really see the problem with the shadows or lighting. Although I will say it's hard to tell what would be better lighting with such a generic background. So yeah. If anything I'd say it's the lack of a specific background that seems lazy. The rest looks good. I like the dress design.
