I've lost the will to draw properly again, so lazy doodle time it is! I seem to be on a family kick :'|Kievan Rus' with baby Novgorod (Russia) and little Kiev (Ukraine). A friend likes the idea that as a baby Russia had the same hair curl as his father did when he was younger, so there you go. And obviously this is before Polotsk (Belarus) was 'born'.

Modern Russia more likely originates from Rostov than from Novgorod. This is the generally agreed-upon historical trajectory: Rostoc > Rostov-Suzdal > Vladimir-Suzdal > Grand Duchy of Moscow > Russian Empire > Soviet Russia > Russia
Still, you and I both agree with the general idea that Belarus originates as Polotsk.
Anyways, I'm so overwhelmed by Yekaterina & Ivan's loveliness in their loving father's arms.

Actually..Belarus was not in Kiev Rus ..There was Ukraine..and then Kiev kings conquered the North (future Russia)..so Ukraine and Russia are children of Kiev Rus..Belarus was the part of Lithuania..then it was the part of Russia..and then there was created the Belarus...(from the parts of Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine), but it was named Chernaya Rus.
Belaya Rus was the name of Lithuania.
Yeah..strange..that first Lithuania had the name Belaya Rus... but now this name of Chernaya Rus...and it was changed to Belarus in 14 century.
actually Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus are the slavs.
and if to be right..Belarus is the daughter of Russia.. that is why Belarus loves Russia...

but I just decided to say to you that Belarus is not daughter of Kiev Rus as supplementary information....it is more daughter of Russia and Ukraine anyway...
even the old books of the History, that was written in XIX - XX century tell that...that Belarus was created from the part of Russia..and part of Ukraine.. and small part of Lithuania in XIV century.
But Kiev Rus died in XII century ( in 1169...the Kiev stopped to be as capital of Kiev Rus) ..than was the Mongol's attack...and Kiev was destroyed...after that Kiev Rus has completely gone to the History.
But don't worry..It was just information...
