Description
The actual title for this is "...And This Children is Whats Called a Tree", but it wouldn't fit into the title box. For this piece I was trying for a more children's book feel. My work tends to be on the dark and evil side so I wanted to change it up a bit, although I guess the thought of a lonely tree in a massive city is a bit depressing. Why is it enclosed?, it should be producing oxygen... from CO2... Sure there must be other things in that polluted future air... but CO2... and oxygen...

If trees aren't around town... then how do they breathe?ย

Aren't we heading towards a future possibly like this?

This is a depressing view of the future xD But then again very touching! Nice work!

I like the current title more tho, it feels disengaged; a fact rather than a comment, an anonymous conclusion rather than a line from the robot.

Would we have tomorrow,
in it's old familiar way,
where kids are laughing and we seize day?
I think, perhaps, that the song I'm listening to with empathy is enough reason to believe that this is quite touching.
Our world slowly, bit by bit, turning more machine than organic... and while this will just fade into the ground, sink into the waters, this tree will be left standing...

Actually I think we'll cause our own extinction before that, nature will always win in the very end.

If it was the last tree on the planet, they'd probably have a hard time breathing haha xD
But I would think it's the last tree in the area.
Really thought-provoking though.

Unless we can find a way to mass produce oxygen... but if their were a black out we would all be doomed lol....

This was one of those pieces that the title inspired the painting.

I love the concept! Even if it's sad, it's looks like the future Pollution is gonna destroy the whole nature. The parks and forests are gonna be like museums

Thanks, and I agree with your post in the journal. Most of my work leans towards the darker side, its nice to change it up sometimes.

Just doing my job. So many people have preconceived notions about dark artists. like we have no families and live in caves. Well some of this is true but not all of us
