My summary about EclipseHello Community!
For a long time I was absent but now and then I have a look in here and have to say that I have a strong dislike of Eclipse. Fortunately, there is still the option to set the old layout, but who knows how much longer?
Most members on Deviantart hate Eclipse. It simply has no style, the picture preview looks horrible and Pixelart is so distorted that it spoils my mood. The same applies to the stamps and the group icons.
It is so uncreative and the art goes under. Is that what the staff at Deviantart really want? That the members disappear here and core members stop their payments?
Eclipse is not eye-friendly, looks like a flat plagiarism of Artstation, the black or white that just looks too brutally ugly for the user. You lose the overview. Where was the creativity left?
I can only hope that the employees or administrators think twice about what they are doing there. Because it makes us, the community angry, that the employees do not give a damn what the community reall

If you don't like Eclipse, stop giving DA money! End your Core. Ask for a Core refund. Call you bank and stop automatic withdrawals, chargeback or anything else that can be used to stop giving DA money. That is the only way to stop this!

Relax this ain't a twitter mob trying to cancel someone because they said a racist/sexist joke 10 years ago. We're just trying to collect our thoughts and make a public effort to change what was once a very well put together art community that is now poorly optimized and lacking a lot of features. And it only took me 5 minutes to read, inform myself and support this thread.

I mean...While not perfect for the bast majority of us the old version was far superior than what currently is. I don't think time alone will change anything, we gotta speak up for said changes. As corny as that sounds, we gotta aim for something better and not settle for mediocrity.

If the layout was actually good, it wouldn't be an issue. This current deviantArt is a lot better than the previous iteration, which didn't even have the "More from" things on the side.
Eclipse looks a lot better than the current green, but it's VERY poorly optimized on mobile.
