😭This scene is a heartbreaker. Nemo had been with the #whitebeardcrew for a little over a month as a beloved guest & ally. During that time, she often pushed away everyone who wanted to come closer to her, get to know her on a personal level. The mark of the CelestialDragons still burned on her thigh, the brainwashing words of Mariejois echoed in her mind, the event of her brother’s sacrifice was still a deep shock, the memories of her #jackpotspacepiratecrew & their apocalyptic demise a mental torture. Everything she knew, her whole world’n everything she once loved… Gone. Forever.

😌Often Nemo hid herself inside her room, or in the interior of her spaceship to watch a few old videos saved by Ben. Videos of her former life, of their countless ventures, of Alliqui bugging her like every big brother would do, Lena brushing her hair, Cimpi and Cimpa designing clothes, Zekka punching rival space pirate crews.

All of it laid in the past. The dead could never return to the world of the living & Nemo was plagued by survivors-guilt. The traumatic shock of a series of most unfortunate, gruesome events, were also what led to PTSD accompanied with a severe sleeping disorder & haunted nightmares. In this picture, she hadn’t really slept for 184 days, terrified to close her eyes, scared to relive this nightmare over’n’over again. But she couldn’t talk about it, couldn’t tell anyone what truly happened & she had to leave this world as quickly as she could, for Lunarians were not allowed to exist. A forbidden place, hovering in the sky right in front of the moon’s doorstep. A blue dream that never welcomed a “menace” like her race with open arms…
