Description
Don't ask what's on the laptop, it's not that goodWhile on Garry's Mod i decided to have a look around on one of the maps i downloaded a while back: rp_unioncity . The map's naturally dark, night-time lighting easily make it seem much bigger than it is, and i got myself turned around quite a bit because of it, as well as all the openable doors blending in extremely well to their surroundings, making me end up pressing E while against a normally obvious textured wall.
Quite clearly, it's been a few months since Gen 8 and it's starters were revealed, so, before anything new about it is announced i'll be going over my 2 cents on what i think of the starters currently. starting with Scorbunny as it seems like the one that's most talked about in terms of where it could be heading in it's evolutions.
But first, going over it's design... it's not bad honestly, it could certainly be worse (and in my blunt and probably flawed opinion there is) but i think Sobble beats it out just slightly in terms of design alone, and we don't have any means currently of analysing their performance in game so we'll have to wait and see on that one.
Now then, in terms of how Scorbunny could evolve... it really could go anywhere; gaining the Fighting type due to having strong kicks (which would obviously disappoint everyone), or the Rock type for it's potential rock climbing capability due to it's jumps, but in my mind i kinda see it going towards the Fire/Flying route, as flight can infer to both staying in the air for long periods of time and making haste, and since it appears one of it's key traits is it's speed and jumping ability, that doesn't sound too far off.
I'll go over the other 2 starters in the near future, and i do mean near this time, i'm going to force myself to finish the other two if it drains me. I've been inactive enough as it is, so see you soon!.
