Description Now with 100% more power claws. I was thinking of the power fists of the space marines with this. And realized her hand does not have 5 fingers, and the fact that hands are a bitch to draw overall.

Also the most failed attempt around for shading! Any hints on that welcome.

Now I have 2 ponies to run from.

As far as shading goes, think of where the light is coming from and shade accordingly.
You are kinda doing that now.

Pinkies left arm should have the shading on the upper part not the lower part.
Her lower legs should have less shading, should just be along edge of her legs.
Thats my guess.

Looks pretty good.

Run run run!

Anyway, I did draw a very light arrow to have an idea where the light would come from. I'm not certain her left arm would not have any shadow on the bottom as it is obscured. True though that I did overkill on her legs. This is gonna be fun erasing.

Thanks

Kudos on the mechanical hands.
For some reason, I have not been able to do any mechanical stuff yet.

I've always had fun drawing mechanical stuff. And then I decided upon making something organic, hence ponies.

I do landscapes and now I get to do things backwards.
Ponies and then machines!

Machines have always held an interesting part, not necessarily always functional, but moving mechanisms are cool to see.

I have to finish something I promised, the next thing I might do with pencil is a mechanized pony rig with applebloom in it (we all know she's a tinker.)

Go for it.

I did a picture with Applebloom in the subway.
The last time I try to do tile...

You can get there with practice! And true, dabbling on one for too long is just no fun at all.

There is a train station in NYC that has this gross brown stuff dripping from a vent in a wall to the floor.
Have seen that stuff for years or it is a new drip I see when I get off the train. I actually found pictures to use for reference online of filthy subway walls.

Sounds.... enticing. Actually why the fuck does nobody clean it up heh. Isn't it municipal hygiene?

The MTA (Metropolitan Transit Authority) owns the subway and the bigwigs do not ride it.
They also do not live in the same universe either, they live in an utopian universe even
more harmonious than Equestria. They should make the bigwigs ride the subway as a condition of employment so they can see whats going on instead of throwing money away on studies.

Dear Princess Greedestia:
We made a big mistake today, the new train status controllers for the signs were housed in a room without air conditioning so the whole system crashed. The pesky Commuter Rights group complained that for the money that we spent, we could have cleaned up some subway stops. They also complained about dirty, flaking paint ceilings and strange liquids dripping from above. All they have to do is to stand somewhere else. What whiners! If its so bad, let them buy cars like the rest of us.

Your faithful student, Twilight Carmichael.

Who needs transportation for the masses anyway. Don't these, proletarians not understand that walking is healthy for them?

Eeyup!
It helps that you have hooves or wings or a horn.
Without those its a long walk.

I will say even though the NYC subway has its flaws, it is cool that you can
pay once and ride everywhere without having to pay anymore.
Have heard of other subway systems in which you pay when you go through different zones.

I remember one hot summer they put in air conditioners in the Union Square train station (14st, east side).
The Ac lowered temps 10 degrees F, down to 90 or 95.

There was also the fun of water dripping from the AC on people's heads too.
Well if they knew better, they would stand elsewhere.

Even though I complain about the subway, at least for this year, I did not get
in a train that did not have air conditioning.
I do remember years in which getting a train with air conditioning was a special event.

The trains get a hooves up.
Most of them were pretty clean too.
