I switched because of the design in each of them, caret is easier to use for me, its simple and light - not many features, i also like the look of it, many themes to choose from.

It is Avenir Next. I am thinking about changing the code font to Source Code Pro, since it matches the function better.

Well, I thought that Adobe Brackets won't need any redesign or improvements in design at all, but as I can see, your redesing looks really good. I've just opened Brackets now and Hell Yeah I would rather use your design than the original design. Just because of the contrast and colors you've used here
