I 1) like the concept tons! 2) agree the white area of the window could be cleaned up to make it 'smoother' 3) wish you hadn't cropped the top of your hair off..and maybe even left some white above you...on to the good

Powerful. Very powerful. The mood and message eminating from this is very vibrant and effective. What I gather from this is that you're trapped in darkness and can't find your way out, even with all the light and hope around you...
The overexposure of the window means that it lacks a lot of detail, which I think was a wise choice. There are a few minor things that irk me just slightly, however. There still is a little glimpse of the outside environment, and those little marks are far from grundge - they just look messy. More exposure time, I think, could have cleaned that up a bit (or you could have just edited slightly in Photoshop or some similar program 
I just love the tiny details in this - the tilted angle of the floor and window behind you, your baggy jeans, your hairstyle... Just a normal guy, and the world's treating you so bad.

The technical aspect, I needed to put some areas of the light in there as there are some parts of the things that are not overwhelming. See what I mean?

Its like a natural negative shot. Most who do tihs pose focus the light on the subject.. not everything but. You have a very creative and amazing mind that captures images in new ways. I'm sure I've said before that your Deviations are a pleasure to always see.
