Crash.

A raven-haired boy sat lazily at a table, staring absently at the opposite wall. He had headphones around his neck, a notepad in one hand, and a DVD in the other. He wore a black shirt with faded silver letters, and baggy jeans with rips and holes in various places. His untied and overly large silver shoes were practically falling apart.

The front door opened and he sighed, shaking his head as a bouncing russet-haired girl appeared beside him. She dropped her bag and wrapped her arms around the raven.

“Hey, baby! Did you miss me? I missed you. I wish I could bring you to school with me.”

“You’d just abuse me more.” He sighed.

“Aw, don’t say that, Kyaris.” Sarge pouted at him before bouncing excitedly again. “Time to get to work!”

“No.” Kyaris moaned, burying his face in his arms, as if to keep the psychotic girl away from him.

“Aw, come on.” Sarge poked him in the side. “I need you.”

“I’m too hot.” Kyaris whined. “I don’t want to.”

“Be nice. You’re acting like a baby, and I need you. I can’t write this essay without you.” Sarge wrapped her arms around him, resting her chin on his shoulder. “Please, baby? Please? I’ll love you forever and ever.”

Kyaris sighed, raising his head and resting his chin on his arms. “Fine.”

“Yay!” Sarge cheered, kissing his cheek.

“But, you have to stop downloading anime.”

Sarge fell over.

“Are you crazy?!” she demanded as she stared up at Kyaris, a large red spot on her forehead where her head hit the floor.

“No, you are.”

“I’ll die without my anime!” she insisted.

“I could only be so lucky.” Kyaris muttered as he leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. He then added loudly, “Do you have any idea how much that hurts me? Your God-damn anime is fucking evil.”

Sarge gasped. “You take that back!”

“Never.”

Sarge crossed her arms and turned her head away stubbornly. “I’ll keep downloading anime, and there’s nothing you can do about it!”

Kyaris opened his mouth to argue, then sighed. “I’m hot.”

“Again with the complaints! I got you a cooling pad, use it!” Sarge motioned the wet cloth sitting beside Kyaris on the table. The raven picked it up and set it on his brow, scoffing.

“Yeah, cause this piece of shit really helps.”

“My God! You complain more than the sibling does!” Sarge rolled her eyes and stood, sitting down beside Kyaris and rubbing his back. “Essay time, come on.” She reached down and pulled a file out of her bag, setting it in font of Kyaris. He just stared at it. “Come on, open the file, baby.”

“I’m—too... hot...” Kyaris collapsed, his head slamming against the table loudly as he went completely limp.

Sarge’s eyes bulged comically out of her head as she grabbed Kyaris and shook him.

“Kyaris? Kyaris! Baby, wake up! Come on, don’t do this to me!” She let out an annoyed cry before slapping her hand hard onto the boy’s back and crossing her arms, pouting as she sank lower in her chair. “You better have saved my essay, or I swear, Kyaris, I’ll take you apart!”
