"There exists more than one way in which to perceive the world around us, Little One."

Runa is an ageless Northlander doe, and fulfils the role of a Volva for her people- meaning she has some latent magical ability. These abilities are more passive in nature than the active magic of unicorns. Runa is physically blind but her other senses are in overdrive, more than making up for the deficiency. Her age is technically unknown, though figures of more than 600 years old have been alluded to by Runa herself. When she is not in the Temple, she can be found with the Fawns of their Clan- teaching, singing and playing with them.

It is said that she is more of a Winter Forest elemental than an actual Northlander, and that it was the wild and untamed magicks of her homeland that begun to alter her very form into what she is now. She stands tall and lithe , and has a soft, musical but unnatural and multilayered voice- as if two voices are speaking slightly out of sync.

This character has never been depicted by myself before, so I decided to give her an extensive redesign before I did so. I'm loving how the braids turned out, and I think that's how I'll depict Runa from now on. She is now wearing less clothing, had a complete change of manestyle, and got wings and spots. Her brooch and amulet are new too.

In future though, I'll interpolate her enamelled brooch like the runic amulet on her forehead, it seems a bit cleaner that way, and I think I prefer the look of it.

As per usual I completed the edit with Ibis Paint X on my Android mobile phone with no stylus, and this one has taken me over two and a half hours to complete. I would fix her brooch and do a story, but it's past 1.30am here, and I've run out of time. I need sleepies XD
