Spring Ember is a 24 year old Kirin mare, who is currently exploring the lands outside of the Kirin village, and has no intention of going back any time soon. As of right now, she can be considered homeless, but despite that, she is absolutely embracing her situation and lifestyle.

After their voices were returned to the Kirin, a seed of curiosity was sown in Spring. This seed rapidly grew out of control until the point that she planned and executed her escape from home out of sheer, unrelenting boredom. Since that night six months ago, she has been loose in Equestria- meeting ponies and other creatures and learning about the local cultures.

Physically, Spring is in very good health, if a little short and skinny of build for a Kirin of her age. However, she is very fit and loves to run, and she has cat-like agility. When it comes to her more sorcerous abilities, she is very average for a Kirin- she knows the usual telekinesis and fire disciplines, though Spring does know a few other spells that help her locate edible food, drinkable water, and shelter. Her scales are not as rigid as those of most other Kirin, but they are somewhat soft and allow her some extra agility and flexibility. She does have some freckles under her eyes and near the tips of her ears.

Spring Ember is a happy and very excitable mare, who does not regret leaving her people as she believes her future lies out there among the ponies and the other creatures. She has a tendency to be somewhat annoying with her relentless questioning of the peoples that she meets- but this tendency is gradually being tempered by the new knowledge that she is gaining. Spring has not yet gotten her head around the concept of money and what it is used for yet, but she will learn that in time.

It should be noted that Spring is and always has been incapable of making the rage-fuelled transformation into a Nirik. It is unknown why this is, and as to whatever caused it in the first place. Spring Ember couldn't care less to be honest, and is perfectly happy as she is. She considers the Nirik form to be a liability and a danger. However, Spring is not immune to anger or rage, and will fight with everything that she can if necessary.

As mentioned before, Spring has no intention of going home until she feels that she is ready to do so. That is a process that may take a year or so, or it might take the rest of her natural life. There is simply no way of telling at this point.

Spring Ember is heterosexual, and a virgin at present. However, she would eventually like to start a family in the future. Though she most definitely is a hopeless romantic, she is not naive, and is looking for very specific traits in any partner- traits that she is not sharing with anyone. She is not bothered if her eventual partner is of the same species as her, only that they are physically compatible and that she is loved for who she is.

She adores being physically close with those that she loves, and has no understanding of the concept of personal space. Like batpony mares, Spring often gives gentle little bites and nips to those she is with- it is a mark of deep affection from her, and is not a malicious act.

If you were to meet this mare, she would probably drown you in questions and her curiosity. However, if you were able to get past that, you'd get to know the sensitive and deeply loving mare just beneath the surface. If she was to fall in love with you, then she would be loyal, and for all intents and purposes, might as well be actually attached to you. Again, she isn't creepy about it at all, she is just very loving and doesn't understand what personal space is.
