You really have a beautiful "painterly" quality to your work. I know that word is rather vague, but its what comes to mind.Peaceful and elegant.Your style is how I always pictured what a painter should be,and I strive to bring that type of quality to my work.

I'd recommend more studies from life if you're looking for brushstrokes, because that's where they're learned from, even if it's a piece of fruit on a table.
At a glance, what you're doing is called "licking the paint", a habit learned, and it comes with the territory for intermediate-level artists. You can work around the problem by blending with a knife or dry brush, instead of blending with the paint, but ultimately, when you lay the value, it's better to make corrections with the next value. Mastery then, is just something we find by solving our problems.
And I do have my problems to solve
Nice words though, thanks . .
