Description
So after seeing [link] by and , and [link] by I decided to go check out this ABARA manga thing.I can't say I understand the plot at all, but the bio-armour is real cool
So here's a pic of me, as a black Guana. Though the only feature we have in common is our minor cake obsession XDAfter that hard-edged Gundam, it's nice to let loose a little and play around with some different brushes

Heh, getting to the commenting. Should've done this a long time ago.
First of all, Tsutomu Nihei rocks. Second, ABARA is awesome. Third, I giggle thinking about one of the Guanas being hungry for cake. Considering how brutal those Guanas are, what not with ripping each others' limbs and spines out and killing the random unfortunate soldier out in the open, this is tame. Tame and hilarious. However, that cake is going to meet a swift and ravenous end.
You got the style down, so kudos to you for that. I like how clean the Guana's face is compared to the rougher textures that comprise the rest of it. Nice to see the negative space around it - it helps it stand out so well without clutter.

Initially this picture was going to be all blood and guts and action, but the cake sort of crept into the composition owing to the huge craving for Black Forest Gateau I was going through at the time XD It was all I could think about.
In the end, I settle for a picture that didn't take itself too seriously :3

oh and the artist i mean is John Hickleton, very very impressive work (have a few of his comics he has done)
if you ever have a spare coin or two you should definetley cosider bying them, unfortunatley he now suffers from parcinsons disease so no more work from him will come, make me kinda sad realy...

Well i'd recomend blame, noise and biomega, they basically tell the main story. There are others like nse and digimortal, but they don't have to much in common. I'd start with blame, just because it's the first one in the series.
Tutsomu Nihei's mangas are nicely drawn but i don't get the story... Seriously... I had to consult wikipedia and then I was like: "Aahhh that's what all those explosions were all about... How stupid I am, not to see that..."
Ok... To be honest, I still don't get what's going on when I read blame. My theory: "He doesn't want you to understand what blame is all about." XD
But it's an entertaining manga. Definitely one of my favourites. It will allways have a place of honour in my bookshelf.

You got a point, because as you said its not my kind of thing, but i do like it because is dynamic and stylish. I like the flow the body has, and its nice because some parts seem like traditionally drawn.
