Uhm, it's not easy to give a general tip. When I check out a new program I usually just play around with it for a while (testing the brushes and tools and so on). Do you have any specific questions? Or, what makes it uncomfy for you?

Aah, I'm sorry if it's troublesome! I think I'm just overwhelmed with the amount of tools and options, I don't know where to begin learning.
I can make a new canvas, select brushes, and make marks. xD But I don't yet have precision and control.

I agree, it takes some time to get used to it. Maybe choose 2 or 3 brushes you feel comfy with for the first painting. Btw, eraser and brush size are at the top of the window (I couldn't find the eraser at first try, haha). The selection tools work like in most other painting programs. There are tons of settings for the brushes and layer modes and so on, but I wouldn't mess around with them until you really need them. Just start slowly.
