You did a nice job handling the watercolors. The effect is nice and soft and I love your take on fairies.

This is very well done! A few thing that I see that you could improve on (don't take me seriously it's late lol) the colors could have been a bit richer, they look a bit washed out and flat. The character could have had more of a presence in the background, no very visible shadows or lighting. You could have put a slight yellow glow from the magic. You don't have to listen to what I said, the painting could be just how you want it! (I'm too afraid to use the criticism thing )

Thanks! I ask for feedback/criticism so please don't be afraid to give it. I consider it as a special gift, because it helps me to improve upon my drawings and paintings. But yeah, the critism thing can be scary because it makes it so 'official'.
I think you just pointed out the things I had some trouble with myself. I'm a little bit afraid of adding darker colors and that reflects in the lack of shadow. And the yellow light...I wanted a glow, but when I had to paint it, i didn't know how I and then I was afraid to ruin the whole painting, so I settled for this. I think it all comes down to being too careful when I paint.
So thanks again. Your comments will be helpful in my future painting.

Here is a painting that I did, you can see the yellow lighting but I used watered down acrylics. You can probably tell that I like dark, rich colors. [link]

That's really cool! I like this pictures. The fairy is really well done. But why does she have grey hair?

Thanks! The grey hair...it should have been black or suggest that it black, but I couldn't get it right with watercolors. When I paint, I very cautious and dark colors such as black, scare me a bit. I probably used to much water when I painted the hair and the black turned out grey.

That's funny, i didn't know that it turns grey if you use to mucb water. Otherwise it's already a really good picture!

Thanks for the comment! Trees are so lovely to draw and paint...they can be just as expressing as people. The hallway idea, as you name it, came out better than I had expected, Iยดm really happy with it.
