Some rare classic silliness from Archie comics.I believe this was from Betty and Veronica Annual #2 which would be from 1954. This is a B&W xerox from the original (very expensive) color comic.
As most of you know Archie has been known to dress up in female fashions more than a few times. This may be the ultimate one with the nuttiest reason for it. He & Reggie are secretly rehearsing to be chorus 'girls' for an all male musical comedy show. They get into an argument over who makes the more realistic girl and decide to settle it by each taking the other for a stroll around the school and seeing who gets the best reaction from the other boys.
Nope, nothing suspicious here.
Complications arise and Archie ends up taking Reggie to the dance to avoid getting in trouble with Betty & Veronica.
Yep, make perfect sense to me.

Yeah, it's a pretty outrageous story.
Archie just looks like he is having way too good a time in that last panel where he is holding Reggie's arm.

Either that or it was a sound made because his girdle was too tight.

A friend told me there was a comic where Archie dated Reggie, I thought he was joking. I got this copy from someone putting out an Archie fanzine. I still have yet to see a full color version. It's kind of a rare book (expensive too.)
