A rather odd little story even for a funny animals book of the time.
A penguin offers a $1000 prize for a fox & a rabbit who are true friends.
His lawyer does not believe it and bets $500 he can break the friends up, trying a couple of ways before using his never fail method.
No friendship between 2 guys can survive a gal coming between them.
Good lesson for the kids plus in a land of talking animals, the "gal" is wearing a full length fur coat!
