Nope, it was the manor itself (the entity living in it that is). Damien died and Mark just took his body.Β

He isn't personally my favorite character (I still think he caused quite a mess in the series), but what little fan creations I see are amazing.

There's a good reason to appreciate ActorMark and don't hate him just cause' "oh, he is the bad guy in all of this" (the same with celine xd)
