As the cold season approaches, in my warm and quiet lab I have been slowly mapping the genome of the old man Winter. It will certainly take years if not decades to complete this genomic DNA sequencing as winter is an extremely complex phenomenon. One of the first things discovered was that winter is part of the rejuvenation and recreation of life and all the particulars of life that we admire and enjoy.

This is how far I have got in this effort. One of the most amazing discoveries so far is the colours associated with winter. They represent all the live roots of trees and other vegetation under ground. All the seeds and bulbs waiting to germinate in the spring and all the survival efforts of beings who have to endure the cold to reach the warmness of other seasons!

Back to my lab with a cup of tea after a long hard day outside in the rain contributing to life.
