Took a gamble on some bird pics in between passes of the Seal colony on a boat trip.~Blakeney Point ~ July 2015~

Never actually seen a tern on the GROUND before, beautiful bird and great shot! (I've watched them dive into the surf and ride the wind currents off of lake Ontario, but I never saw any of them land!)

Thank you. I've generally only seen them on the ground in areas quite close to where they nest.
