Photoshop stopped being evil! (I took this scene a little from my own life, where my older brother and I would ask my mom to read to us until either she or us fell asleep.)

Knowing that I'd much rather get a comment than a vote, I decided to make comments on each of the contestants for the DPRF contest before making my final decision.
I really liked the composition of your picture, which shows your skill in keeping the three figures in proper proportion to each other, with such consistency in your (slightly different from canon) visual style for the characters. I particularly like your take on Jazz as a little girl, with her dress, matching hair ribbon and Mary Janes.

Yep. And I think she's harder to draw because she's an adult. Sam practically pours out of my pencil, and Tucker wasn't so bad the first time I drew him. (I had a reference though.

For some reason I have ridiculous amounts of trouble with any DP character in its original style. It must be my artistic background... Well, the only way I even made Butch's style look not mutilated is from ~Obi-quiet 's tutorial. XP

Well, when I try anime, you'd probably kick my butt anyway. I used to suck before I tried Butch's style. (But I designed a character to practice with first. I think that helped.)

XD; My anime's not really that great, I just use it for doodles now and then.
LOL, I did that too, though it didn't help me a lot. But each to his (or her, in this case) own.

I use stick figures or practice with some other style for doodles. And of course, they turn out horrible if I haven't drawn in that style before.
It helped me a lot because I could look at the people and compare them, and so I found out that it's just basic shapes of the body. And the not-so-curvyness of it helps because it makes it easier to see how everything works out. But whatever works for others, I guess.

I dunno, maybe it's because DP style uses so many sharp angles that I have trouble with it. I tend to go curvier and more realistic/anime. It's great it works for you, though.

I can go curvy/realistic, it's just I always messed up the face.
