I think failing at bowling is more humorous than succeeding, plus the frantic wafting at thin air to make the ball jump out of the gutter and murder all the other players is something everyone looks forward to

As a casual movie goer, I'd have to say that it has enough action to keep the "average citizen" entertained and yet is "in depth" enough to keep the smarter ones happy.
As an art student, I'd have to say that it has some beautiful camera work and some refreshingly good writing for an action movie.
As a fan of the franchise, I'd have to say that this film stays fairly true to the original source and that it has tickled my fancy in ways never though possible by a moving picture...
As a person who makes really long replies to really simple questions, I'd have to say that Timothy Olyphant looks really good with a shaved head ^_^

Always look for the silver lining in the cloud. The silver might actually be mercury, allowing you to fulfill your lifelong dream of opening a thermometer factory.

I used to bowl every Saturday when I was younger, so this amused me in such a way... patience is key, my friend.

I probably wouldn't understand it.
Bowling is the only "participation sport" where everyone has a technique, no matter how little they've ever bowled in their life. There's always at least one friend in the group who steps up and "shows us all how it's done" before bowling the most awkward gutterball ever.
But here's the *real* secret -- you just throw that baby as hard as you can. Ever notice how you never see really strong people in the PBA? They're not allowed. Lift weights for a good year or two, and you'll be unstoppable. You'll bowl at *least* a 90!

Everybody starts out that way. I remember that I could never crack sixty points when I was a kid. Then I got a little older, and a little more seasoned in the game, and was able to triple my score!
One suggestion I'd make is to use a lighter ball. I generally prefer eight or nine pounders... they don't pack the punch of a twelve pound ball but they're much easier to control. Be sure to drill the holes large enough so that your fingers can fit inside them!
