Very cool, you got a style pretty close to Ashley Wood's I think.

Such a beautiful piece....it doesn't help that I'm a sucker for mixed media pieces. This is truly unique, where did you find the inspiration for this? I want to live in that house.

Wow this piece gives off so many illusions. I love it! The paper backing makes the sand look like it is reflecting the sky.

at start i thought that it was a skull.. that building.. when it was shrunk... and not it's just looks much cooller
althought i think that there isn't much contrast in this and maybe add some highnlights of statured color? maybe orange..
tis' cool anyhow so cool.

So you put the pages on canvas and then painted this scene over it? You had me completely fooled. From first glance, I thought it was a model, but then that confused me because of the waves. The whole thing is so brilliant, I just love to look at it! It is very unique and wonderful. I get an overwhelming urge to visit the beach and soak up the sun. Great job!

What book did you rip pages from? It looks fantastic. I've tried this at times too - wreaked havoc on a German dictionary, great fun. Congratulations on the DD.
I really love the clouds, how they look like a second thought - which is exactly how clouds look in real life. Fantastic.

Funny, the pages are from an old german book about Tolstoj, and another "deliverance"-> there should be a movie of that one.
thanks for the comment!

thanks. 17th century pieces are a great source of inspiration, but in most cases they are too mellow, but their skills are wow...
thanks for the comment(s)!

they're from a book called 'deliverance' and a german book about Tolstoj, which had a gothic typeface- very cool, i had purchased both for like 2 euro's, so no harm done
