I didn't think it was good either, but when I watched it I was all "OMGWTFWHYHAVEN'TISEENTHISBEFORE!?!?" and then went out and read the books The only downer of that movie is Astrid, but the rest is AMAZING.

When I went to see the second one, Rodrick wore eyeliner too, and some fangirl yelled out "SEXY EYELINER!", and me and my friends started cracking up in the middle of the movie, and some fat ass in the row behind us told us to knock it off.
