Description
This is a trade piece for DedPhoenix, who has unfortunately left DeviantArt in the time since I've finished this. The character is called Tialocan, and as DedPhoenix is an absolutely smashing colorist, it was those fabulous wings that really caught my attention when I sought a subject to draw for her. Awesome critter, and lots of fun to draw and color.Watercolor, Prismacolor pencils.

Thanks very much. Dedphoenix made up the original color scheme, kind of a mix of green iguana and scarlet macaw, which is just perfect for my own tastes. Coloring it was a real treat.

It does indeed! I assure you, though, Yao-Chi has a different color scheme and somewhat more reptilian attributes.

LOL - Thanks! It would certainly be a bit more work to sculpt a unicorn out of eight thousand different shades of polymer clay instead of that pristine white that you used for your unicorn you have posted here.

Maybe so, but when I get a little more well from my heart attack and strokes, you may be surprised one day......like I said in my DA interview, I can take a 2D picture, and have it jump right off my screen and see it in 3D right in front of me.(I was ,for sure, talking specifically about YOU!!!)Your work strikes me quite heavily, and I love it!! jack
