This was a different kind of "inking" effort. I actually did this as a soft-shaded pencil drawing, scanned it, and played with the color filters in Photoshop - way back in 2008. The "inked" drawing you see here is kind of a reverse-engineering of the project based on the original pencil drawing; I went over the pencil drawing with my digital brushes in Photoshop. Yeah, digital inking is weird... I still prefer to use actual ink pens.
